If people donate money to western Africa now, before theres a famine A LOT more lives can be saved because receiveing donations before a famine strikes is many times better than receiveing them afterwards. Look how inefficient western nations are, especially the US, who use twice as much fuel as we European nations do per capita, although Europeans generally enjoy greater longevity and wellbeing.Thats why we need a new system that regulates our resources on paar with ensuring wellbeing and sustainable resources.What you just said is completely wrong, keeping people poor. According to the Worldwatch Institute if developing countries were to consume as much resources per capita as United States or Japan in 2030 together they would require more than a full planet Earth to meet their needs. Conclusion: we need to keep them poor and screwed. They will try to develop, and this should be PREVENTED.
