This ain't sludge fags ... change name to that genre, this has nothing to do with true sludge ... go listen to greenmachine (japan), weedeater, eyehategod, first melvins records to educate yourself on what is sludge !

@jorozco417 Mastodon is from Atlanta
WorldEnslaved (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
they must have to use really thick guitar strings to get that low end tune
WorldEnslaved (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
@Acidbas666S and also,this band is really influenced by crust punk,which is hardcore too
WorldEnslaved (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
@Acidbas666S well in a sense,it is hardcore,its sludge metal,sludge came from hardcore punk and doom metal,neurosis first record was a hardcore punk album,and then they moved to play sludge or post metal,post metal is related to hardcore punk too,because of the influence of post hardcore

It's called an example, of course Mastodon aren't death metal and neither are Neurosis, Melvins or Kylesa

@JetlagAgain Ir'a funny because Mastodon isn't death metal...
