@largeness1 heavy metal isnt dead.. the mainstream simply isnt aware of what constitutes heavy metal. heavy metal is actually a type of metal nowadays.. most ppl just call everything heavy metal. nowadays it often falls under the "traditional heavy metal" subgenre. see: Benedictum,Cauldron,Enforcer,holy grail,striker or just type in traditional heavy metal in search.. often the best new stuff is unknown:)
