I learned all the lyrics to this song when I was 4. I miss those days. I love this song because it brings back memories of when I was younger. My parents had this song on their CD and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I love this song, I know I've already said that but oh well. :D <3 <3 <3

Unfortunately one string on his guitar is flat-- noticeably. I bet that bugged him all through the song

My father was actually there at this show, you can see him at 3:22.... And he said he's never felt the heart warming feeling that he felt that day watching don McLean, the most beautiful thing he's ever seen (besides my mother). I would do anything to go to this day and watch don McLean play this song as well as Vincent, it's sad all we have today is crappy editing people call "music", and they can't even write there own lyrics to there songs, and when they do it's about money, girls, big house

Also, Jesus told me that!

It's not a theory, it's a hypotheses. My hypotheses is that with his need to to keep the real meaning of this tune a secret to drum up controversy and attention to himself and his unsuccessful attempt to sue youtube it seems to me that his behavior is more than a little dickish. Really Don, you should be so lucky that people still enjoy your tunes, I mean tune. It is good song the first 50 million times!

This man is the most talentedartist i've ever heard. He's no douche. you can see how he really feels the music, he is crying at the end when he is singing.

Is it me or does Don Mclean come off as kind of a douche? |
