Some weeks ago, driving through deepest rural England, I listened to that great world civilising agency, BBC Radio 4, and its weekly obit on the great who'd departed this life in the preceding week, It spoke of a Richard Harrington, a physicist, who'd somehow come to be producer of many of Steely Dan's most memorable songs, even playing guitar solo on "Change of the Guard".
