Mr. Randi, since this is your site can you give this gentlemen the correct answer. Boy is this kid blind to life. Once again what is causing the cancer epidemic we are seeing today.

You are asking questions with no easy answers, that's why.Who told you that people got less cancer 35 years ago? The statement as such is not true. It's different from country to country, in some areas less people get cancer. And if the numbers rise, there is no simple answer. It can be everything (and probably is everything) from better diagonstics, more industrial pollution, to higher avarage age of the population. You won't get easy answers. Easy answers are bullshit most of the time.
Frank289100 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
Why are you being difficult. What is causing the cancer epidemic we are seeing today that didn't exist 35 years ago.
fmhummel (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
How does that make it any simpler? You are asking for even more now.Well, since you want to know all at once, here's most of the stuff you need to know:Look up "Mutagen"and "Carcinogenesis"in Wikipedia. Those are the causes of cancer.
Frank289100 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
Lets maker it simpler. Around the world.

You GO man!

Furthermore, cancer is not an "epidemic" since it's not contagious as such. The right expression would be "widespread disease", like heart attacks, stroke or asthma. If it was contagious, it would also be a pandemic, not an epidemic. And again, there is nobody preventing you from reading stuff up yourself. I just doubt you do that.
fmhummel (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
That's not keeping it simple. You underestimate the subject. Before you ask questions like this you should make yourself clear what you really want to know. Why? Because if you ask it like that, the correct answer would be "life itself". You should specifiy points like:1. What kind of cancer? There are thousands of kinds, having different causes.2. Where it the USA? What kind of social level, what region, among what group?3. Do you only want "modern" causes or all?
Frank289100 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
Lets keep it simple. What is causing the cancer epidemic today in the USA and worldwide. Lets just say the USA.

You can read me like a book. Oooh, probably because I'm writing. I have my problems with reading you, though, mainly because of your grammar. Half of what you write makes no sense. If you want to know what causes cancer, you should probably read a book. I'm not telling you facts you can find on wikipedia.Go educate yourself, there are many sources to do so. I'm not wasting precious seconds with you anymore. |
