I see a lot of scared guitarists. Chill out guys. There is nog ''faster way'' to lean how to play guitar. Even with this game, it will take everyone quite a long time until they can finally play something good. And besides that: This game gets people excited for the most awesome instrument ever made: The electric guitar. How can you possibly be against that? Sincerely, a guitarist.

I get your point, and I like the game too, but as a guitarist myself I do have to say I have to get used to the idea. It's kind of weird, because it takes down traditional ways that have been used for years, you have to understand. But I don't think this will ever take over the traditional way of learning guitar. It's just a fun tool/game for.. wel.. fun.

I'd play this just for fun. But before anyone flies off on one I've been playing guitar for 10 years now.

It that just me or it's really fucking hard to understand which note to play? In my opinion, guitar tabs are much more simple.

...Dude. Seriously... READ THE WHOLE COMMENT BEFORE RESPONDING. Twice if you have to. I didn't at any point say not to learn other peoples' songs. I even said its always fun. you're exaggerating my words. But in any case, this won't inspire musicians, only guitarists. It doesn't inspire talent, just skill. And besides... I stated before that I'm only irritated that there's now an easy way out. and @aquaphone, yes but try teaching yourself without the notes and colors. Just sayin.

So you're telling me I should go to Guitar Center right now, buy a guitar, and start writing my own songs before learning ANY OTHER SONGS or having any sort of foundation whatsoever?! Let me ask you this: Did YOU learn anyone else's songs before you wrote your own? Yes, of course you did. RockSmith eliminates the need for a beginning guitar teacher, and it helps you learn the basics. They never claim to make professional guitarists out of it.
