All god is is the berserk human imagination at play. God is nothing more than his angry animators. Like other animated characters, without the talents of the people concerned to use their skills to make them seem real, god is nothing. The road from the past to the future is littered with the corpses of dead gods. They all lie there because their animators have died off, and become nothing more than anthropological curiousities.

Such conceptual confusion. Dawkins argument goes like this:1) We ought to believe only what there is evidence for. (roughly- must me amended)3) There is evidence against gods existencehence we ought believe in gods nonexistence. Further: the good life is based on true principles. Any principle relying on god is false. Hence the life based on them is not a good life. That faith requires blind faith simply qualifies it for dawkins arguments. But they can be criticized.

Proof that science is losing popularity versus God.Google Trends 2004-2012 show God is on the increase, science on the decrease.Sorry about all your hard work Richie :(You based your life on a losing trend.

@jmarmold1 Scientific theories demand no faith whatsoever, noe, zip, zilch, zero! Scientific theories are allo derived from evidence, and tested and tested often for decades before they become formal theories. Faith is belief without evidence, scientific theories are how vast bodies of cohesive evidence are explained.

It takes as much faith to believe in a scientific theory as it does to believe in a deity. It's a fallacy to say that certain faiths are not based on fact. The issue is how we define history, and fact. The modern/postmodern worldview split has made this increasingly difficult. I am a Christian, but not a Fundamentalist. I disagree with Dawkins on many points. However many Christians are decidedly anti-intellectual and this makes the rest of us look bad. Our faith can stand up to testing.

@natrod3 you realize that in order to figure out their mistakes that they would of needed to find out what is "right." So in turn your ridicule of modern science is as they say an "epic fail"

@natrod3 If science is so wrong - how come your computer works?
natrod3 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
