阿爾卑斯山無煙城市采 馬特Zermatt 地處海拔１６２０米的 爾馬特，被稱為阿爾卑斯山之母，位於瑞士南部。１５０年前這裏還是個不為人知的瓦萊州小村落，有幾條崎嶇陡峭的小路和當地人蓋的幾棟小木屋。采爾馬特著名的山峰－－４４７８米高的馬特宏峰被稱為阿爾卑斯山上的斯芬克斯（獅身人面像），實際上是一分兩半，由瑞士和義大利共有的（義大利人叫它Cervino峰）。馬特宏峰漸漸和巧克力，牛鈴鐺，布穀鳥鍾一起成為了瑞士的象徵。事實上，馬特宏峰不僅不是歐洲最高峰，連瑞士的最高峰也算不上。在采爾馬特周圍的一條環狀山峰帶中，還有９座高於馬特宏峰的山峰，包括瑞士的榮耀－－羅瑟峰。但是，世界上沒有第二座山峰像馬特宏峰如此容易辨認出來，它的金字塔形的外表，塔尖的稍稍彎曲，和它令人肅然起敬的冰冷的雄偉和至高無上的王者志氣。采爾馬特是個"無汽車的世界", 因為為保護環境在市區 禁止汽車通行。唯一的市內交通工具是電動車，冬天時還有馬拉雪橇，夏天還有馬拉車。由於沒有汽車的存在，對采爾馬特的地位更加有利
